My
Story
Hi,
My name is Angel, founder of Prevention Path Education, and if you’re here, it’s likely because you care deeply about the safety and well-being of the students you serve. I do too.
For over eight years, I’ve worked in suicide prevention with the Department of Veterans Affairs, supporting individuals in crisis and helping families navigate some of their hardest moments. While my primary work has been with adults, many teens have found their way to the crisis line, reaching out from classrooms, school parking lots, or their homes, struggling with depression, anxiety, and thoughts of suicide or harm. These experiences have shown me just how critical it is for schools to have the tools, training, and systems in place to catch these moments before they become crises.
Earlier in my career, I worked in child and adolescent mental health with organizations like Laurel Heights and Youth Villages, where I partnered daily with teachers, parents, and treatment teams to support young people. Those years taught me the power of community and the difference it makes when schools, families, and mental health professionals work together toward a shared goal: safety, resilience, and hope for every student.
I believe prevention is possible, and that schools can lead with care while acting with strategy. Through Prevention Path Education, I’m here to help you build the systems, confidence, and culture you need to protect the students you care about—so they can thrive in and out of the classroom.
